I am a down to earth country girl who LOVES taking pictures of all those special moments. I have 5 children of my own and 2 step-children, so family is very important to me. I treat people as I would like to be treated and everyone’s pictures are just as special as my own. If you are looking for a new kind of photography session, then you have come to the right place! My goal is to make you and your family feel special and relaxed and come away with some fabulous memories preserved in print.
If you are the proud parent of a child with special abilities, then we have something in common. I have a son with Down syndrome and I know what it feels like to have your child looked at differently when you go to have pictures taken. I can provide a relaxed, laid back session for you and your family and will do whatever is needed to make you feel comfortable while taking some beautiful pictures.

  1. I wish you weren’t so far away (Cathy, Nova Scotia, Canada) I came across a picture of your sweet boy quite by accident on FB. Now I have spent the past many hours looking at your photos over and over again. They have made me smile over and over again. A friend of mine had her first baby 6 years ago at the age of 24. Gracee was born (quite unexpectedly) with DS. Now she is a happy healthy grade one student who loves school, her friends, her one year old brother Mason and almost everyone she meets. And everyone she meets falls in love with her.
Thankyou Kerri, for your photos, for sharing your family with us, for educating us, and for having such an obvious love for life.

  2. Kerri,

Like Cathy, I came across your images, your Facebook page and this site by accident and I’ve spent a great many hours pouring through the photos, the text and the comments. I truly love your photos. As a professional photographer I am amazed at what you’re able to do. I also know that your technical skills can only get you so far and the rest comes from within your heart–and your heart is full to overflowing.

I especially loved the photos of your son. I can’t tell you how many tears of joy I’ve shed today and for that I am grateful.

Bless you for what you do and bless you for how you’re changing the way people view children with special abilities.

  3. You are amazing! Thank you for these precious pictures! I came across one of a little girl smiling on the beach up at a slightly older boy who I can only assume is her brother. Every time I see it, no matter how bad my day, my heart is lifted! If there is any way to purchase a copy of this picture?

  4. Such beautiful portraits. Especially the children’s potraits. You have captured the light that glows inside each and every one of them. Spectacular!

  5. I just came upon your site from a photo shared by a facebook friend. Your work is gorgeous and kind of makes me cry with joy. My 12 year old son is autistic and it is so hard to capture his essence in professional pictures because photographers just don’t know how to help him relax. I wish you could photograph both of my boys! Thank you for what you do.

  6. How would I be able to get a poster of the little girl with the caption”the only disability is a bad attitude”. I am a retired NICU nurse. My favorite little ones by far are DS kids. Have 5 friends with DS. My husband works with a man whose child has DS and they are so discouraged with how the school system treats them. We would love to give them that picture as a poster if possible.

  7. I came across your wwebsite on Facebook a couple of years ago. It was the picture of the twin baby with his sisters memory paper. It was such a beautiful tasteful picture. Wish I would of seen your work while my kiddos were babies. I have a 2 year old who will be 3 in July possibly will be in touch if I can get my money situated. My baby really dislikes the camera, I have 2 other children. Who are 5 and 7 and I only have really 2 pictures of all of them together because my 2 yr old is terrified of the camera. Seems like the only time I can get a picture of him is on my phone

    • Awe, thanks……….:)

I would love to take some pictures for you when you get ready. I can assure you that he won’t even realize that he’s taking pictures! All kids love me and they warm up pretty quickly 🙂

  8. I just found your website but can’t seem to find where you are located. I live in Houston, my youngest son has DS and I am interested in getting some pictures done.

Please leave a comment - I really love them!!!
